The art of listening: where stories find space to breathe

Welcome!

I am a licensed psychotherapist and have been in the field of mental health for over 20 years. I have experience working with adults, adolescents, couples and families. I enjoy providing counseling to people who are in transitional points in their life or in their relationships and who seek guidance to help resolve challenges and make decisions about their life path. My personal style is warm and interactive and I utilize humor when appropriate to create a comfortable space. It is important to me that my clients feel safe and can speak freely.

Listening with heart, guiding with care

Throughout our lives we get hurt and then develop ways to protect ourselves in order to get through and move forward, but sometimes this also holds us back from fully engaging with life and with others. I help people who are stuck, in transition, feeling depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, and work with the parts of themselves that interfere with feeling happy and content. I integrate complementary methodolgies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach that considers an individuals whole being-mind, body, heart, spirit, & cultural context. I also utilize solution-focused therapy which is generally considered brief therapy combined with cognitive behavioral techniques to offer relief from stressors and longwithstanding problems. Long term therapy is provided as well.

If you’re looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you’re just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your desired goals.

Please call or email me for an individual, couples or family therapy consultation today.

Meet Jennifer Cooper

Making the decision to begin therapy can be difficult—but finding the right therapist can make all the difference. I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience helping adults and adolescents navigate life’s challenges.

Many of the clients I work with come in feeling frustrated, disconnected, or lonely—especially in their relationships. You may be questioning your role in certain dynamics, wondering why the same patterns keep repeating, or feeling emotionally stuck and unsure how to move forward. Therapy can offer a fresh perspective and help you understand yourself more deeply, while creating space for healing and meaningful change.

My style is warm, interactive, and down-to-earth. I bring humor when it’s helpful and always aim to create a space that feels safe, compassionate, and free of judgment—so you can explore what’s really going on beneath the surface.

If you’re feeling the weight of emotional stress or relationship struggles, you don’t have to carry it alone. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to see if we’re the right fit. Reach out by phone or email—I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this work.
